These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Selvallo, including the website, application, generated Reader's Theatre packets, downloadable resources, character libraries, export layouts, and related services. 1. Agreement to Terms
By creating an account, accessing Selvallo, generating resources, downloading materials, purchasing content, or using any Selvallo service, you agree to these Terms of Service and any policies incorporated by reference.
If you do not agree, do not use Selvallo.
2. Accounts and Eligibility
Users are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and protecting login credentials. Accounts are intended for individual educator use unless a written school, district, or organizational agreement states otherwise.
You may not share your account, sell access to your account, or permit another person to use your subscription or beta access code.
3. Selvallo Platform Ownership
Selvallo owns the platform, software, prompts, workflow systems, generation logic, branding, visual identity, character libraries, story systems, export layouts, proprietary content systems, documentation, templates, and related intellectual property.
No rights are transferred except the limited license expressly granted in these terms or in a separate written agreement.
4. Generated and Downloadable Content
Selvallo-generated Reader's Theatre packets, scripts, vocabulary lists, discussion questions, teacher notes, answer keys, export templates, downloadable PDFs, and related resources are licensed content.
Users receive a limited license to use generated or purchased content for their own classroom instruction, subject to the Content License.
Generated packets are not transferred intellectual property. Users may not claim authorship of Selvallo-created proprietary content, character-library content, export layouts, or branded resources.
5. Character Libraries and Proprietary Creative Content
Selvallo character libraries, including named characters, descriptions, personalities, categories, and story systems, are proprietary Selvallo creative content. Users may not copy, extract, modify, redistribute, resell, publish, or use these character libraries to create competing resources, products, marketplaces, or content collections.
6. Permitted Educational Use
Subject to the applicable license, teachers may print and use Selvallo resources with assigned students, present resources in classroom instruction, and store copies for personal classroom use.
Additional permissions may be granted through a school, district, commercial, or marketplace license.
7. Prohibited Use
Users may not:
- Resell or redistribute Selvallo content.
- Upload Selvallo resources to Teachers Pay Teachers, competing marketplaces, public file-sharing sites, or resource libraries.
- Share paid or licensed resources with other teachers outside the permitted license.
- Claim authorship or ownership of Selvallo-created proprietary content.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, bulk download, or extract prompts, templates, or character libraries.
- Use Selvallo resources to build competing content products, AI datasets, content libraries, or marketplace listings.
- Remove copyright notices, license notices, or Selvallo attribution.
8. Subscriptions, Payments, and Access
Paid features, subscription terms, trial terms, beta access, refunds, renewals, and cancellation rights will be described at checkout or in the applicable plan terms.
Selvallo may change prices, features, plan limits, or availability with reasonable notice where required. Failure to pay may result in suspension or loss of access to paid features.
9. Beta Access
Beta features may change, fail, be limited, or be discontinued. Beta access does not guarantee continued access, future pricing, or final feature availability.
10. User Inputs
Users are responsible for the prompts, topics, standards, premises, files, and other information they submit. Users may not submit unlawful content, confidential student information where prohibited, infringing material, or content they do not have the right to use.
11. Third-Party Services
Selvallo may rely on third-party providers for authentication, hosting, email, analytics, forms, payment processing, AI services, and storage. Use of Selvallo may be subject to the availability and terms of those providers.
12. Termination
Selvallo may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, misuse of the service, nonpayment, infringement, security risk, or conduct that harms Selvallo, teachers, students, or other users.
Upon termination, the user's license to access the platform ends. Existing licensed classroom copies may continue only to the extent allowed by the applicable license and law.
13. Disclaimers
Selvallo resources are provided for educational support. Teachers remain responsible for reviewing materials before classroom use and determining suitability for students, standards, school policy, and instructional context.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Selvallo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost data, lost instructional time, or business interruption.
15. Indemnification
Users agree to defend and hold harmless Selvallo from claims arising from misuse of the service, violation of these terms, unlawful user inputs, infringement, unauthorized redistribution, or use outside the applicable license.
16. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of [Insert governing jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
17. Changes to Terms
Selvallo may update these terms as the service evolves. Updated terms will be posted on the website with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated terms.
